These started as experimental annual reviews, predicated on a belief that a years' worth of artwork could recombine into a story that is only seen in hindsight~ the shadow narratives for a year's worth of consciousness.

That was the theory.

Beyond that, was a wish for these books to function more as a favorite album: an experience that deepens with familiarity, not something to be finished, or ever fully known.

BOOK 3 was recently accepted into SF MoMA Library: it's a three-volume set, bent on fulfilling a promise I made to get Virginia's artwork into the great museums of the world.

I went to the various museums listed in her will, took pictures of their exhibition spaces, then swapped Virginia's art in. I then contacted the museum's special archives requesting they accept the book; therefore achieving a great semantic victory of "getting" Virginia Vogel, "an exhibition" of her artwork, "at", "the museum". hence the quotes.

The 2nd volume is a wordless eulogy formed by recombining my sketchbooks and diaries from the same time.
